The Housing Trust has over 1000 properties across the Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama Local Government areas. We own and manage a range of properties to help support the local community.

Wattle Road, Shellharbour
By November 2015 there will be 71 new homes in Shellharbour available for people on very low, low and moderate incomes.
Applications for Central Gardens are being received and assessed for eligibility continuously, and there may be a waiting list.
Central Gardens is being developed specifically for people who are:
- Over 55 years of age
- Of Aboriginal origin over 45 years of age
- Under 55 years of age who have a disability and can live independently with or without support

Ellen Street Boarding House
The Ellen Street Boarding House is targeted to single men particularly those that are homeless. The thirteen bed facility is located close to the Wollongong CBD with easy access to shops, medical facilities, transport and community services. Paddy’s Place is a purpose built facility incorporating nine bedsit style units and one two bedroom unit. In partnership with Housing NSW, Paddy’s Place provides crisis accommodation for clients eligible for temporary accommodation under the Temporary Assistance Program. Staff at Paddy’s Place provides homeless clients with support in seeking alternative accommodation and with referrals to appropriate support agencies. On site staffing provides a safe and secure environment and assists clients to link with support services to resolve their long term housing options.

The Housing Trust has formal partnerships and informal working relationships with a number of agencies throughout the region as part of its commitment to assisting clients with more complex needs to maintain successful tenancies.
