Northsea is one of Australia’s first purpose-built mixed tenure buildings, consisting of 54 (65 with dual key access) social, affordable, and private homes. Completed just in time for Christmas 2024, the project is a collaboration with development partners Traders In Purple and Homes NSW.
Northsea’s design highlights flexibility, with 8 out of 10 social housing units featuring dual key access. This setup is ideal for people living with disabilities and their carers or support workers, who can comfortably reside in the adjoining unit. This clever design allows the number of individual social units to increase from 10 to 18 when needed.
The homes boast a minimum seven-star Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERs) rating, featuring five-star energy-efficient equipment, appliances, and LED lighting with motion and daylight sensor controls. This means lower energy costs for residents and a more sustainable living environment.
Conveniently located near schools, public transport links, supermarkets, and shops, Northsea offers both comfort and convenience, making it a vibrant community and an example of modern living.
