The executive leadership team at Housing Trust oversees a group of 48 dedicated employees focused on providing safe, secure and affordable housing. Their leadership is anchored in a solid framework of governance, accountability, and transparency.
Amanda Winks is the Chief Executive Officer at Housing Trust, leading the organisation to provide 1,200 affordable homes to around 2,100 people across the Illawarra. Since joining the executive team in 2018, Amanda has overseen significant growth, including adding 120 homes to the portfolio and achieving a 90% customer satisfaction rating. With 4,000 applicants waiting for social housing and 23,000 households in housing stress, Amanda views housing as a fundamental human right. Her leadership has driven strong results, such as a 99% occupancy rate and $20m in capital grants. Amanda’s background spans 15 years in real estate before transitioning to the not-for-profit sector with Cancer Council NSW, where she led impactful programs like the patient accommodation partnerships across the State.

After seven years as CEO at Housing Trust, Michele Adair moved into the role of Managing Director to focus on portfolio growth and advocacy. An experienced CEO and entrepreneurial non-executive director, her career has been at the nexus of complex and high risk commercial issues and benefits from her ability to engage sensitively with stakeholders. She has been a driving force in public policy and industry reform through her work with peak bodies and direct advocacy. Michele's strategic vision has led to increased market share, brand awareness, and reputation. Analytical and people focused, Michele balances innovation and with compliance with values alignment to create high performance cultures.

Nikayla Beer-Herring is an accomplished leader with a successful background in management within the Community Housing sector. She brings a deep understanding of housing operations, covering tenancy management, sustaining tenancies, asset management, access and demand services, and allocations. With strong budget-setting expertise and a well-established network across community and service providers.
Nikayla has been with Housing Trust since 2018 and has completed study in Placemaking and Urban Design, Australia National Construction Codes, Regulations and Compliance, Leadership Capability: Mission Delivery for CEO’s and Executives.
Miranda Serkinic is the Executive Manager of Corporate Services at Housing Trust, overseeing HR, IT and Finance. With a background in the Manufacturing, Social Services and Aged Care sectors, she brings strategic expertise to managing complex financial operations, working with multiple funding partners and exploring innovative financing solutions. Miranda is committed to promoting operational efficiency and high productivity by recruiting well-qualified candidates and minimising turnover. She also drives advancements in financial management, training, and team motivation through collaborative and forward-thinking approaches, ensuring the organisation remains agile and sustainable.

Rachel Foster leads Communications and Engagement at Housing Trust, blending strategic thinking with a strong community focus. With over 30 years in communications, her marketing and social media efforts have not only raised awareness but created meaningful connections with people. As a passionate advocate for affordable housing, Rachel frequently speaks at events, helping others understand the importance of affordable housing and sharing her knowledge. Recognised as the 2022 Marketing Executive of the Year for her not-for-profit work, she also contributes her expertise to the Property Council and UDIA committees in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions. Rachel is dedicated to building lasting relationships and fostering important conversations that drive change.
