Housing Trust Chief Operating Officer Amanda Winks said that following consultation with members and elders of the local Aboriginal community the new development project at Dudley Street Wollongong was named “Warruya,” a Dharawal word meaning aunty.
Amanda Winks, the chief operating officer, is promoted to chief executive officer from Monday, July 1 while current CEO Michele Adair will become managing director.
