1. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged, based upon individual creative merit. All entries must be an independent creation by the entrant and free of any claims that they infringe any third party rights. Entries must not have been published previously and/or have been used to win prizes in any other competitions.
  2. Housing Trust Board members and employees, their partners and immediate family are eligible to enter the competition, however if they are judged to win the competition, the prize will be donated to the Homeless Hub on their behalf.
  3. To enter, entrants must have nominated a name for Housing Trust’s new property via the designated form on the Housing Trust Website. Multiple entries will be permitted per person. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.
  4. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which, in the opinion of the judges, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory language.
  5. All entries become and remain the property of the promoter and agencies associated with this promotion (Housing Trust).
  6. Winners of the competition must be 18 years old or older, or have Guardian approval to enter, and be residents of Australia.
  7. The promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend the competition as necessary due to circumstances outside its control.
  8. The prize is non- transferable and non -redeemable for cash. Any attempt to resell or auction all or any part of this prize will result in an immediate cancellation of the prize. In the event that, for any reason whatsoever, a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and the prize will be donated to an associated charity.
  9. Prize cannot be gifted to other persons in lieu of the winner. Should the winner not be able to collect the prize in the period of prize validity, the prize shall be forfeited without any replacement for its value.
  10. On acceptance of the competition prize, the winner acknowledges that they have read and agreed to Housing Trust’s terms and conditions of the prize.
  11. The prize is a Bunnings’ gift card for the winner valued at $250, and there will be only one winner awarded.
  12. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, in connection with the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by laws.
  13. Promotion commences 26th April 2018. Entries close 9th May 2018.
  14. By entering the competition, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these rules.

  16. The information you are asked to provide to Housing Trust is personal information and is protected by the Privacy Act 1988. Housing Trust will not disclose this information to other parties other than in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.
  17. All entries become the property of Housing Trust. By entering, you grant Housing Trust an exclusive license to use your suggested name in perpetuity in any medium, including to edit, publish, distribute and republish it in any form. Housing Trust may use entrant’s names and suggested property names (entries) for any commercial purpose, including future promotional marketing and publicity purposes. Suggested complex names may be published.
  18. Entries will be shortlisted at Housing Trust Head Office between 10th May and 16th May 2018. The shortlisted names will be voted on by the public between 21st May and 25th May 2018, and the winner’s name will be published on the Housing Trust website and Facebook Page within 30 days of the judgement.
  19. The winner will be notified in writing by email within thirty (30) working days of the conclusion of the competition.
  20. If Housing Trust is unable to contact the winner within 30 days of the draw and if Housing Trust has made every effort to contact them with the information provided by the entrant, then the prize will be donated to the Homeless Hub.
  21. All entrants who choose to ‘opt-in’ consent to have their contact details (title, first name, surname, email, mobile or landline phone number, and post-code only), released to the Housing Trust and receiving ongoing marketing material and correspondence from the Housing Trust. You can opt-out by emailing info@housingtrust.org.au and requesting to be removed from the list.
  22. The winner may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the Prize Draw and the winner shall participate in such activity on the Housing Trust’s reasonable request. The winner consents to the use by the Housing Trust and its related companies, both before and after the closing date of the naming competition for an unlimited time, of the winner’s voice, image, photograph and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by the Housing Trust and its related companies) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the naming competition, all entrants consent to the same.
  23. If the same name suggestion is submitted multiple times, and that name is chosen as the winning name, a single winner will be randomly selected from all those who submitted entries with that name.
  24. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
